^{SYNOPSIS —}

Many have heard of the fall of Rabanastre close to three decades ago. Many know of the death of its royal line. Few are aware that Dalmasca had more than one Prince. Spirited away as a young boy, Uriel was brought across the sea to be raised as an orphan in the care of the Holy See.The life of a holy knight is no easy thing. Between dragons and politics and the general woes of the world, it brings one in contact with the unsavory. Sometimes, it exposes someone to dark magics. Often, those magics change them. After a run in with a particularly nasty voidsent, Uriel found himself changing. Something primal and dark roiled under the light of the moon, and he sought aid from a trusted priest. Faith and alchemy brought his curse to heel, but also grew a forbidden fondness between knight and clergy.When the affair was discovered, Uriel knew he needed to leave Ishgard. Rumors swirled in his wake. His excuse of leaving to 'train as a paladin' was weak. All the same, he's found a living in Ul'dah, and that is as much as he can ask of the world for now.
